Amazon.com Instagram, the world’s largest Internet-based retailer in the world wanted a templated video

1) Instagram Ads were just beginning to take off and instagram top-down look was being requested to showcase products of different categories.

2) $71,000 Budget spend to make ‘Instagram worthy’ video templates to inspire customers to purchase in 4 weeks.

ACTION 

1) Conceptualized 5 different categories of flat-lay templated video including 1 generic category that could be the view of someone looking through their tablet on a table.

2) Storyboarded and created shot lists

3) Chose props that would work for each scene and Art Directed the shoot on set

4) Worked with production studio in India to rotoscope and overlay the hand.

5) I made fake shadows in After Effects and assembled the different parts of the project.

RESULT

1) 5 videos with 4 placements for products or branding elements

2) 14.42% iE%CCP Efficiency (Amazon metric where <100% is breaking even on ROI)

3) 0.38% Swipe up rate
