AMAZON PRIME DAY 2019 PROTOTYPE
SITUATION
Amazon.com, the largest Internet-based retailer in the world was going to have their 4th Prime Day to showcase products and make money similar to Black Friday.
TASK
1) Create a prototype for a Prime Day site to User Experience Test.
2) Lead up, during prime day, prime day search and prime day guide experiences.
2) Gamification and countdown complexities
ACTION
Collaborated with a Design Technologist, a UX Designer, 3 UX Researchers, a Project Manager, and a Producer
1) Assembled and curated the content for the pre-prime day and during prime day on-site experience.
2) Identified and mapped out the customer journey.
3) Used Framer Classic to prototype with screenshots of the customer experience.
4) Supported Blink user testing and created a template for Stakeholder shared feedback.
RESULT
1) Identified pages where customer were not seeing buttons that we wanted the customers to click on
2) Iterated on the prototype quickly based on feedback for more user testing
3) Created high confidence that the implemented designs were understood and user friendly for customers based on user testing
4) Prime Day 2019 was the largest shopping event at the time in Amazon history with more than one million deals exclusively for Prime members.
